I have been teaching for more than 15 years, and it has been my privilege to spend all of those years here at Rogers. Though I have taught all grade levels and nearly all subjects, science is still my favorite subject to teach, but I also enjoy math and am fascinated by history.

I obtained both a multiple-subject and a single-subject teaching credential after having spent 10 years in Silicon Valley working in high-tech marketing communications. I decided to become a teacher because I realized that it was what I wanted to do since I was a child.

I hold a Bachelor's degree from UCLA and a Master's in Business Administration from Santa Clara University. Based on my personal experience and as a child of first-generation immigrants, I believe in the power of education to open doors. I instill this in my own 2 children, and I strive to emphasize this with my students.

Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and trying new foods with my family, I am an enthusiastic cook, but I'm not enthusiastic about doing dishes. Being an introvert, my favorite way to re-charge is by sitting alone and reading. 🙂
