Permit Process Information
In order for your student to attend a school outside of their district, you need to obtain a permit of release from Centinela Valley Union High School District and a permit of acceptance at desired school/district.
Please contact CVUHSD Pupil Personnel Services Office starting the end of April to request a permit application.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION
Students from Will Rogers have several options where to attend high school. In addition to the local Centinela Valley High Schools, there are a variety of charter and private schools in the area. The counselors assist 8th grade families through the process of learning about the different high school options, meeting the application requirements and selecting the best school for the 9th grade. We encourage students to apply to at least three high schools!
Ms. Swick will be visiting the classrooms in November to present your students with high school information. Students and parents are encouraged to review the upcoming events and deadlines list below, as it changes periodically. Feel free to contact Ms. Swick in the counseling office if you have any questions.

CVUHSD (Lawndale HS, Leuzinger HS, Hawthorne HS)- Online open enrollment is now open at CVUHSD for 2023-2024 school year CVUHSD New Student Enrollment. Their High School Priority Enrollment Fair is on 1/21/2023 from 9-12 at each of the three schools (Hawthorne, Lawndale and Leuzinger). This is a fun filled event to help students and families select the right high school for next year!
Animo Leadership Charter- Schedule a visit on their website. Applications are due 12/2/2022 at 4:00 pm.
Bishop Montgomery HS- Application deadline is 1/11/2023. Open house is on 12/3. Other tours can be scheduled on line.
California Academy of Math and Science - The CAMS Application for fall 2023-2024 will open November 14, 2022- December 16, 2022. Taste of Cams - 10/21 from 5:30-8:30 pm, Community Day - 10/29 from 9-12 pm.
Da Vinci School- 2023-2024 applications go live on November 1, 2022. Priority application deadline is February 28, 2023. To be entered into the enrollment lottery, you must apply between November 1, 2022- February 28, 2023. Applications received after this date will be placed at the end of the waiting list. Lennox Math, Science and Technology Academy- Online Application now open. Application Deadline is November 27, 2022. Students who submit an application after the deadline will not be entered into the lottery, but will be considered for the waitlist
Los Angeles County HS of the Arts- Apply between 10/1 - 1/13/2023. Tours, panels and seminars are offered October - December. Auditions and Portfolio Reviews take place in February and March.
