Elementary school visits

Elementary Articulation

Over 300 incoming 6th graders transition from 4 main elementary feeder schools into Will Rogers each year.  The counselors work hard to assist students and families with this transition.  This transition process begins while students attend their fifth grade year at the elementary school.  The counselors collaborate with fifth grade teachers to learn about each student so an appropriate schedule of classes can be assigned during 6th grade.

WEB Welcome

WEB: Where Everybody Belongs

We are so excited to have the WEB Program at Rogers! WEB, which stands for “Where Everybody Belongs” is a middle school transition program that welcomes 6th graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout their first year of middle school. The WEB team is a group of 7th and 8th grade students that are trained to be WEB Leaders. These WEB Leaders act as positive role models, and mentors who guide 6th graders to discover what it takes to be successful in middle school. Each WEB leader becomes responsible for a small group of 6th graders during Orientation Day, and they continue to follow up with them throughout the year with activities.

WEB begins with a fun and energetic

Orientation Day/Tour on August 18, 2022 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

On Orientation Day,  the incoming 6th graders will participate in  large and small group activities designed to address students’ needs and concerns in an enjoyable manner. Students will have fun learning strategies that will contribute to their middle school success. At the end of Orientation Day, students will get the opportunity to get a personalized tour from their WEB Leaders.
