Congratulations to both the girls volleyball and cross country teams.  The girls volleyball team made it to the championship game for the second year in a row finishing the season with 7 wins to only 2 loses.  The girls defeated Bud Carson 2 games to 0 in the first round of playoffs.  In the semi-final round against Lennox, the girls also won the match convincingly 2 games to 0.  Although the girls lost to a very talented Dana team in the championship game, they competed at a high level until the very end.

The girls cross country team won it's first championship in league history.  Mia Lewis and Jasmine Gutierrez finished 1st and 2nd in every race this year accumulating a lot of points for the girls.  In the league championship race both Mia Lewis and Jasmine Gutierrez finished 1st and 2nd yet again as Mia Lewis set a new course record.  Throughout Mia Lewis's career, she broke many records in 6th, 7th and 8th grade.  What a great way for these two phenomenal student athletes to end the year helping give Rogers it's first Girls Cross Country championship.  There will be a new championship banner in they gym soon.  Go Panthers!!
